Having trouble getting your Gallery Remote to work properly?
After spending countless hours trying to get ImageMagick installed on our Mac Pro with OS X 10.4, below are some instructions that should get you up and running.
1) Download and install the new version of Apple XCode 2.3 (free registration), and X11 (you can get this from your 10.4 install disks, under aditional packages).
2) Download MacPorts, and follow their instructions. You're going to have to use Terminal to update Mac Ports (sudo port selfupdate, and sudo port install imagemagick)
3) Install Gallery Remote, right click on the Green icon and select "Show Package Contents". Go into the imagemagick folder, open "im.properties" with a text editor. Make sure the 4th line says:
im.convertPath=/opt/local/bin/convert
Save the document, and close those folders. Open Gallery Remote and your error for ImageMagick should be gone!
