We
had a very wet weekend up in the 'dacks. Friday night we arrived at
our favorite camp ground at 2am, after leaving Connecticut at 9pm. It
poured rain all the way up, but Saturday the rain wasn't as heavy. We
left the Garden parking lot at 9am, and arrived at the JBL lean-to at
10:30. The toughest part of the day was crossing John's Brook, and the
Ore Bed river which were very high. We actually crossed the latter barefoot,
to keep our feet dry. We arrived back at the lean-to at around 7pm,
after climbing Gothics, Armstrong and Upper Wolf Jaw. What a day! |
